I’m alway super excited to shoot a destination wedding. One of the highlights of any wedding is the opportunity to shoot in amazing scenery, this means a bit of scouting and adventuring to find those epic locations.
On the morning of the Caroline and Michael’s Akaroa wedding, epic scenery wasn’t on the list. Nope it was all about shelter. And with that in mind I ferreted out a house bus, woolshed, lighthouse with lighthouse keeper’s key, fishing shed and a wee church tucked away in a quiet bay.
It was a beaut of a wedding. Caroline and Michael’s wedding was full of great times, great people, great food and drink, and all in the stunning setting of Akaroa. That’s what a beaut wedding is about.
So Caroline and Michael, here is your wedding story as I saw it unfold…
PS It’s a long one, so I suggest investing in a full glass of joy, a comfy seat and the speakers turned up.
