The thing about capturing weddings is that you really have no idea where the day will take you.
Sure you plan and have a pretty good logistical idea of how it will unfold.
But starting this wedding of Emma and Keith’s on a bright sunny day I had no idea of the majesty that we would encounter later in the day.
My fellow photographers around the world have commented on how lucky I am to shoot in such incredible locations, I guess that’s true to a certain point. What I consider I am truly lucky for is to have couples like Keith and Emma. Who on their wedding day, happily chuck themselves on a rock, thousands of metres above the valley floor buffeted by 120 knot winds, throwing sleet and snow in their faces. It’s not something most couples buy into on their wedding day, luckily mine do.
And personally I think they’re rewarded for it.
Emma and Keith thank you for being so amazing. Here’s a little glimpse of what I encountered on your day….

Seriously incredible. Those portraits in the mountains are absolutely unreal. Amazing work, Jim!
this is so awsome, killer work dude!
Jim! Thank you so much for these beautiful photos. We had so much fun on the day with you and everyone…even with the snow/hail and bone-chilling wind on the peak.
The candid shots during the ceremony and throughout the reception were just what we wanted. You really got some great moments captured. Priceless ;)
Thanks for your advice and patience leading up to and on the big day. Even before the first coffee catch-up, we couldn’t have been more confident with how the photos of the wedding day would turn out.
